Grayson's 1st Birthday Party

For Grayson's 1st Birthday I decided on an ice cream parlor theme because he loves ice cream (now it's more popsicles than ice cream).  I also used his monogram throughout the party as an added detail.  I originally got the idea for the ice cream parlor from Eat Drink Chic here and tweaked it for a boy's birthday.  I'm so thankful for our house, but before you look at the pictures just remember I'm renting - my house would look very different if I owned it.

This is the invitation I made from a white card stock and envelope set I purchased at Target.

Greet the guests at the door with a sign and treats for the kids to take home.

Here's a close-up of the sign on the front door.

I put goldfish and animal crackers in clear boxes and labeled them each with a child's name.  I also made chalk bags with Grayson's initials as stickers.

Here's a close up.

I decorated the mantel with the flag banner and a picture of each month from 0-12 months.

We made the pompom balls and table skirt and signs

Making this skirt was the hardest part and the most time consuming but I just had to have it.

It was so much fun to decide on the ice cream toppings.

I bought the stickers online and printed his initials on each one then stuck them to the paper cups (which we put the ice cream in) and the cupcake toppers and napkins.

I put the food in the kitchen eating area and labeled the food as well.

Not a great picture but you can see the napkin labels.

Outside I set up the drink table.

His favorite thing was eating ice out of the drink bucket.

Each table had crayons in a bucket and I drew some drawings for the kids to color.  I drew a Giraffe, Ice cream cone, a "G" and a map of his first year.

Grayson eating his cupcake and my dog wanting some too (as always).  My sister made the cupcakes - she makes the best cakes and cookies!
