I'm super excited to announce this generous G I V E A W A Y  by Susie Bettenhausen to one of you.  I met Susie and her work when I started following her on Instagram and am always waiting to see what next piece of art she will post or what gorgeous beach image she will share.  I'm constantly looking for art that I admire and colors that inspire and Susie's work exudes both.  Born in Alabama, a previous Fort Worth resident and a Baylor and UTA graduate, Susie Bettenhausen is a southerner at heart and super talented artist.  Now living in Florida, the coastal influence breathes on her art with color, warmth and light.  I love her quote "I'm grateful for mercy, grace and forgiveness.  I'm excited about "The Great Commission" and I'm not talking about art…"

Liza Hathaway Matthews

As you know, I love to feature talent on this blog whether it's an Interior Designer, Architect, Photographer or Artist, etc.  Sharing good design and artistic talent with you is something I love and when Liza Matthews shared her artwork with me I wanted to introduce her work to you as well.  Liza Matthews is a talent in and of herself - she holds a BFA in Painting and Interior Design from the Maryland Institute of Art.  She is a mother of three and lives in Baltimore, Maryland.  Her work is full of life and color and would make a beautiful addition to any room.  Inspired from nature, design and pattern her work takes on texture and movement making each piece unique and thought provoking.  Her mediums of choice are oil, acrylic and charcoal pencil to capture life through her eyes on these various size pieces of art.

Gingham Birthday Party

After talking about Grayon's Birthday party I thought I would spend a few days highlighting some cool parties and invitations.  This first party is a gingham dessert party from Ruby May Designs for her sons 2 year old birthday seen on Amy Atlas Designs blog here.  The inspiration came from Sarah Jane Studios which I discovered when researching for baby things back when I was pregnant with Grayson 3 years ago.  I love Sarah Jane Studios and her work is amazing.  Back to the party, this party so unique and clever.  I love the little wagon with the treat bags inside and the licorice candy on the cake with the ribbon accents and giant two - all great ideas!
