Spotlight on Designer Hillary Thomas Designs

Hillary Thomas Designs began about 10 years ago and is now a one stop design business.  She has a very laid back look to her designs but much skill and thought go into making it that way.  Her lived in style is usually mixed with antiques and modern furnishings along with adding special one of a kind finds that personalize a home for her clients.  She is one busy lady, Hillary Thomas not only designs interiors but has a store in Brentwood called Chic Shop.  I read she also used to design custom bedding, was a former actress and now has a line of finials called The Final Touch.
Take a look at her work...

This first image is from her portfolio so I'm not sure what project this relates to but I love this casual kitchen.  The striped banquette seating, the butcher block island top and the marble top are my favorites.  I also love the roman shades and the contrast in here.

These next images are from Lonny Magazine.  This is Marlien Rentmeester's Pacific Palisades home.  It's full of what Hillary Thomas calls "highs and lows".  "It's a bohemian vibe with an East Coast, preppy flair" says Thomas.  She and Marlien even went thrift shopping in West Palm Beach to help furnish this home.

The next three images are from Elizabeth Street which is a great new website that focuses on the taste and lifestyle of stylish moms.  This room is actually Hillary Thomas' Daughter's room that Hillary designed herself.  Very personable, fun and fit for a girl.  I love the wall color with the kelly green and pink.  I am always in love with a good monogram and this one looks fantastic on those euro shams.

This last project I'll share is done by Hillary Thomas and Kristen Hutchins done for home interior decorating ideas through California's Home, Design and Gifts Market.  This is the residence of Mary Alice Haney, an editor-in-chief of ThisNext.com along with a fashion editor for numerous publications including Harper's Bazaar, Allure, Domino, and GQ.  This 1930's Spanish Style home is chalk full of great design once again repeating her famous casual and eclectic style.
