Magnificent Mellon House

125 E. 70th St. Mellon House
New York, NY
$46,000,000
11,100 Sq. Ft.
Listed by Louis Belt

I think we all agree this is truly a Magnificent estate designed in the neo French style and what's more amazing is the story behind this residence.  It was built in 1965 by Paul Mellon for his wife Bunny Mellon.  Paul Mellon was an avid art collector and American philanthropist.  His wife Bunny Mellon was friends with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and designed the White House Rose Garden.  Featured in The World of Interiors, this 40' wide townhouse was designed to maximize the views with 3 exposures making it a rarity in New York.  To read more on the fascinating history behind this house and the Mellon's visit The Real Estalker here.  Hope you enjoy the views inside this New Yorker.

James Michael Howard

I am super excited to share with you today this fabulous designer, James Michael Howard.  I'm sure you've seen his work on Pinterest like I have but have you seen ALL of his work?  I am falling in love with his sense of style and the way he seamlessly combines styles and furnishings old and new to always create the perfect room each time.  From urban to country and back again, James Michael Howard covers the spectrum from coast to coast.  He not only carries his creativity in his design work but owns and operates retail stores Mrs. Howard and Max and Company.  Parson's in New York never fails to produce successful and skilled designers for the industry so thank you James Michael Howard for being one of those!  Be sure to check out his website.
